Access Rate

Access rate (AR) refers to the physical rate at which the user channel can access the network, measured in bits per second (bps). It indicates the speed at which data can be transmitted between the user's device and the network.

In Frame Relay networks, the access rate plays a crucial role in managing the offered load. The offered load refers to the amount of data that the user channel is attempting to transmit over the network.
